The threat of government intervention is still looming for those local authorities who do not yet have an up-to-date local plan in place. If, sometime in the near future your authority will be looking at submitting its local plan to the Planning Inspectorate for examination, you might want to learn more about our in-house training workshop that focuses specifically on this matter.

2018-19 Training Programme for Scotland now published

The 2018-19 Workshop Programme for planning and development practitioners in Scotland has now been finalised and is available to view on the TRA website. Leaflets giving detailed information for all the workshops are available to view or download in a pdf format and a programme summary can also be downloaded for easy display/circulation within your department. The programme includes three new workshops covering Viability, Design and Presentation Skills for Planners.

Gillingham Neighbourhood Plan submitted to TRA for Examination

The latest Neighbourhood Plan to be submitted to TRA for Independent Examination is the Gillingham Neighbourhood Plan. The plan was submitted at the end of February by North Dorset District Council and David Kaiserman has been appointed as the Examiner.
