Another successful Forum on Enforcement

Our annual Forum on Enforcement provides valuable CPD for the wide range of people involved in enforcement work. It also offers the opportunity for delegates to exchange ideas, discuss issues and meet colleagues. Bournemouth Planners sharpen their negotiating skills

TRA was recently commissioned by Bournemouth Borough Council to deliver a one-day in-house workshop on Negotiation Skills. The workshop is aimed at planning and development staff who have to negotiate with various outside organisations, agencies and individuals as part of their work. The workshop was developed and delivered by TRA Presenter, Chris Weetman, and feedback from the session was excellent.

Workshops coming up in the New Year!

Our 2017-18 Workshop Programme for England & Wales sees the last batch of events for 2017 taking place during November and all are fully booked. Looking ahead to 2018, we have four workshops coming up in January/February in Manchester on which a number of places are still available, covering subjects including Development in the Green Belt, The Enforcement Toolkit, PD & Prior Approval Notifications, and Urban Design.

Is finding time for training a problem for your Councillors?

New training for those involved in the planning and delivery of strategic sites

TRA is currently developing a new suite of workshops to help local authorities with the issues around the allocation and delivery of large strategic sites. This new training initiative is being developed in association with Hyas Associates, a national, multi-disciplinary practice consisting of senior professionals with extensive experience of planning for and delivering all aspects of large scale, residential-led sites.
