Woking Councillors gain an improved understanding of Green Belt Development

TRA was recently commissioned by Woking BC to deliver a short evening workshop for Councillors on Understanding Development in the Green Belt. This relatively new workshop, produced and delivered by TRA Presenter, Chris Weetman, received positive feedback from participants.

Support Staff Conference bookings rising

As mentioned in last month's Enews, details have now been published for the 2017 Conference for Planning Support Staff to take place at The Wesley in London on 25 May 2017. Places are booking up but there is still time to reserve yours if you haven't already done so. Details of this year's contribitors and the subjects they will be discussing can be found on the TRA website.

2017-18 Training programme begins with a couple of recent additions

TRA's 2017-18 Workshop Programme for England and Wales will begin on 13 June 2017 with a couple of workshops introduced into the programme just last year. Both workshops proved very popular with one of them being fully booked on its first outing! We are hoping these workshops, which will be taking place at The Wesley in London, will prove to be just as popular the second time around.

New Examiners for Neighbourhood Plans

The latest addition to our team of Independent Neighbourhood Plan Examiners is Terry Kemmann-Lane​ (pictured). He follows close on the heels of David Kaiserman who joined the Examiner team at the start of this year and is just about to complete his first neighbourhood plan examination. These two appointments are part of a plan to grow our Examiner team and will enable us to undertake more Neighbourhood Plan exams in the future.

Bespoke Mineral & Waste Training for South Downs NPA

The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) recently appoionted TRA to produce a short bespoke workshop for officers on Minerals and Waste Planning. The training was delivered twice, on the same day, in order to accommodate a larger number of participants from a mixture of Policy, Development Management and Enforcement backgrounds.
