Training programme for England & Wales 2017-18 now available

Flexible invoicing for the end of the financial year

Approaching the end of the current financial year and the start of the new one can make things complicated for those wanting to booking training: some people have money they need to spend before the end of the year and others want to book now but pay out of next year's budget. At TRA, we do our best to help minimise these issues by being flexible with the timing of invoices.

South Lakeland planners refine their report writing skills

South Lakeland DC recently commissioned TRA to prepare and deliver an in-house workshop on Writing Effective Reports. The session was developed and delivered by TRA Presenter, David Kaiserman, and provided an opportunity for debate about good practice, drawing on the presenter's long experience both of local government and the work of the Planning Inspectorate.

Planning Jobs Board - current vacancies

Here is our pick of the current vacancies on our Planning Jobs Board - with closing dates in February and March.

Asfordby NP submitted to TRA for examination

The latest neighbourhood plan examination to be organised through TRA's Independent Examination Service is for the Asfordby Neighbourhood Plan. The plan was submitted by Melton Borough Council at the end of January and Brian Dodd has been appointed as the Examiner.

Could your presentation skills be improved?

As part of our Management and Personal Development training series we offer an in-house workshop on Presentation Skills for Planners. We have delivered this training for several local authorities recently, including Tunbridge Wells Borough Council where the feedback from participants was excellent.
