Salary: £44,391 to £48,271 per year (inc. of market supplement + car allowance) up to 18.5% employer pension contribution

St Albans is a unique English Cathedral City with a colourful history which can be seen in the Roman remains and variety of beautiful architecture, heritage sites and conservation areas.  Set within Green Belt, off the M25, A1M and M1 the District includes a cathedral, historic city centre, market town and charming villages.  Our offices are in the city centre near to the Thameslink station (London St Pancras 20 minutes and Luton Parkway 11 minutes), shops and restaurants. We are looking for a talented individual to assist in the management of the Spatial Planning Team and contribute to the delivery of a customer focused service. You will assist the Spatial Planning Manager to deliver a Development Plan making service which seeks to safeguard the natural and built heritage and promote environmental quality.  The delivery of the Development Plan includes project identification and implementation.

You will be an experienced senior spatial planner with management and/or experience of dealing with complex planning policy matters.  You will also be a Chartered member of the RTPI or full membership of PIA, with considerable experience, incorporating expertise from a range of professional disciplines and complies with statutory and corporate requirements and policy.
