Salary: Grade 8 up to £34,703 (inclusive of local weighting)
Hours: 37 per week (part-time working and job share considered)

About the role
As a Senior Planning Officer in our Policy and Implementation team you would be dealing with a range of policy development projects. Following the recent adoption of our Local Plan, a number of exciting and challenging development proposals are now coming forward. These include residential, commercial and regeneration development in our town centres.
The Council has adopted a master planning approach to the development of significant sites and it is likely that you would be involved in relation to the delivery of at least one of these sites, supported by other policy team and DM colleagues. This is an exciting time to join the Council and gain experience across a range of strategic and policy development issues, including Neighbourhood Planning.
You would work with colleagues to ensure that the workload of the team is delivered. This requires that good quality output is achieved to demanding targets.

You will be keen to expand your experience and to be involved in more significant and complex projects. You would be a good team player, contributing to the team and supporting the principal officers and team managers in their work.
