A vacancy has arisen in the Planning and Building Control Department for a Principal Planning Enforcement Officer.

This job provides an opportunity to make a positive contribution to safeguarding the special character and appearance of the East Riding. This is a key role that includes investigating complaints and contraventions of planning control, collecting evidence to support the instigation of formal enforcement procedures as well as mentoring enforcement officers and supporting planning officers in relation to enforcement matters. 

You will have good communication and negotiation skills and be able to demonstrate methodical and well organised working. We are looking for someone who has relevant experience in town planning and enforcement or a closely related discipline as well as some experience of working within Development Management 

A full driving license is essential. Parking pass will be provided.
