Salary: up to £37,136 per annum (Band F + 1 Market Supplement)

The Council’s busy Building Control & Land Charges Team has a vacancy for an experienced Building Control Surveyor. The successful candidate needs to demonstrate excellent customer care standards, be able to market the Council’s Building Regulation service, have the ability to build and maintain rapport with all customers and be able to carrying out the wide range of tasks associated with a local authority Building Control function, e.g. plan checking, site inspections and dangerous structures callouts (including out of hours worked on a rota basis).
Ideally we are looking for a fully qualified member of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE, CIOB who has extensive experience of working in Building Control. You must be an effective team member with the ability to work independently, be able to work flexibly and be adaptable to change. Applications are welcome from part-qualified surveyors who can demonstrate good practical knowledge and relevant experience of working in Building Control.
