An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and forward thinking Spatial Policy and Delivery team at Lichfield District Council. We are ideally situated in the heart of the Midlands, based in the historic centre of Lichfield. We are within easy reach of Birmingham and the District includes beautiful countryside including an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This presents a broad range of development opportunities, challenges and pressures for the District.
As part of our Spatial Policy and Delivery team you will be working across an exciting and diverse nature of policy areas, including helping to shape the Development Plan, leading on the development of a robust evidence base, as well as providing a range of technical advice to elected Members, stakeholders and local residents.
We are seeking a professionally chartered planner who has experience in a local planning authority or private planning consultancy and is ready for a new challenge or to take that next career step. We are looking for an individual with a thorough knowledge and detailed understanding of current planning issues, combined with excellent communication and team working skills and who is able to demonstrate good analytical skills, write comprehensive reports and meet deadlines.
