Planning Performance Agreements: how to draft, manage and use them

TRA was recently commissioned by Milton Keynes Borough Council to develop a bespoke in-house workshop on Planning Performance Agreements (PPAs).

The workshop considered the use of project management techniques for planning, with an overview of PPAs in theory and in practice.  The training was split into two parts; the morning session was available to all interested staff, offering an introduction to tools and techniques that can be used to improve customer service, efficiency and performance.

The afternoon session was aimed specifically at more Senior Staff, offering a detailed consideration of how PPAs and project management can work best for the authority in terms of clear roles and expectations, effective resource allocation, managing competing priorities and improving delivery.

The workshop was developed and delivered by TRA Presenter, Rachel Danemann and feedback from the session was excellent:

  • I now have a greater understanding of PPAs and what they entail. A very enthusiastic and engaging presentation. Joanne Spurrell
  • Very informative, gave me an effective insight and introduction into the PPA process and content. The Presenter was very open and honest in her assessment and presentation. Gave some much appreciated ‘real world’ insight. Mike Davey
  • The session was useful for all levels which was exactly what we wanted. The Presenter had a great approach and kept things fun. We would love to see Rachel again! Katy Lycett.

This workshop is now available for all potential clients, on an in-house basis.  If you would like to receive more information on this workshop, including an outline programme, then please do not hesitate to contact Angela Holmes for a no-obligation quotation.

Please note that we are happy to discuss tailoring our existing workshops to ensure that training meets with your specific requirements; as well as preparing bespoke sessions, such as this one for Milton Keynes.
