New Examiner joins TRA's Neighbourhood Plan team

Due to increasing demand for neighbourhood plan examinations, TRA has added a new member to its team of Independent Examiners. Richard Hollox is a highly experienced chartered town planner and surveyor.

In the early part of his career he spent 15 years working for four different local planning authorities dealing with both local plans and development control. He then joined the Planning Inspectorate where he worked for 30 years, 10 of which were as a Principal Housing and Planning Inspector. His work with PINS included the determination of appeals as well as the examination of development plans.

Richard has also taught at a number of Universities including the Open University, University College London and the University of Sheffield. He spent three years as a full-time Senior Lecturer in town planning at the City of Leicester Polytechnic, now De Montfort University.

We're delighted to have Richard join us and are sure he will be a valuable asset to the TRA team.
