The Government has recently signalled its ongoing commitment to neighbourhood planning by allocating over £23m in additional funding between 2018 and 2022 to support the development of neighbourhood plans and neighbourhood development orders.
Figures from the MHCLG in March showed that well over 500 neighbourhood plans or orders have already been successful at referendum, meaning they are now part of the statutory development plan for their area. Current activity across the country demonstrates the momentum behind neighbourhood planning and the number of made plans is clearly set to increase.
If you are working with communities in your area to support them in developing neighbourhood plans you will be aware that at some stage you will need to organise for their draft plan to undergo independent examination. TRA can help with this. We have a small but experienced team of independent Examiners, backed by a dedicated admin team, and can offer extremely competitive rates and the excellent customer service that TRA is known for.
If you would like to know more, further details can be found on our website. If you have a specific plan requiring examination please feel free to contact Penny O'Shea by email or on 01204 385678 for a no-commitment discussion.
