Malvern Hills Councillors learn the importance of planning for Green Infrastructure

Malvern Hills District Council recently commissioned TRA to develop and deliver a bespoke half-day workshop for the benefit of their elected members on Green Infrastructure.

This workshop covered key aspects of Green Infrastructure at a strategic and a local level giving members an insight into this increasingly important aspect of planning and development. Touching on design issues, impacts on viability and cost-effective multi-functional solutions, the workshop provided examples and case studies to illustrate the opportunities to integrate Green Infrastructure into new development to support health and wellbeing, quality of place and boost natural capital.

Local and national policy were explored to ensure that the attendees gained a clear understanding of the key planning issues.

The session was prepared and delivered by TRA Presenter, Tim Crawshaw, and feedback from the session was encouraging;

  • First class! Cllr David Watkins
  • Very interesting. Cllr Barbara Williams
  • Found it very informative. Very entertaining and easy to listen to. Cllr Chris O’Donnell
  • A good and entertaining evening. Cllr Viv Myatt
  • I learnt a lot. Cllr Bob Brookes.

This session is now available for all of our clients on an in-house basis, so if you would like more information on the above workshop, or any of our Councillor workshops, then please do not hesitate to contact Angela Holmes for a no obligation quotation.
