Certificated enforcement course embraces distance learning

TRA's unique Certificated Course in Planning Enforcement has been running since 1996 and has set the standard for certificated training in this specialist field.  To better reflect modern training practices and to make the course more accessible to students we recently made some changes to the course format.  The course content has been re-organised into four brand new modules (rather than five) and, crucially, we have introduced distance learning elements which are undertaken via TRA's own online Learning Portal.  The 21st century has arrived at TRA!

The first module involving both distance learning and a more traditional Tutorial Session held in Cambridge has recently been completed by the first 20 students and we're delighted to say that the Learning Portal was very well received.

  • I give the Learning Portal a score of 4 out of 5. The course information was well organised and easy to follow. Steve Thorpe, Mole Valley DC
  • I have not studied in a long time and found it an easy way to read info and submit course work. I particularly liked the way messages were sent prompting deadlines and tutor comments. Clare Milner, South Kesteven DC
  • Brilliant, really easy to use and an excellent tool. Jonathan Hodge, Blaby DC
  • The Portal is very clear, stating what is expected and when. Aaron Bush, South Gloucestershire Council.
