As part of our forthcoming 2018-19 workshop programme TRA is introducing a brand new workshop for those involved in the planning and delivery of strategic sites. An Introduction to Delivering Large Sites will take place at our London venue on 18 September 2018.
The workshop will explore the delivery process for large sites, from the importance of formulating a robust policy through to Section 106 techniques for ensuring infrastructure is provided. It will be useful for anyone involved in the planning process for large schemes including both Policy and Development Management officers. Key areas that will be covered include:
- the importance of selecting the right site
- the components of a robust policy
- the importance of masterplanning
- how to approach viability and Section 106 issues for large sites.
The workshop content will be based on good practice examples from around the country and there will be ample time for discussion and problem solving.
The workshop is part of a new suite of training sessions being developed by TRA in association with Hyas Associates. Hyas Associates is a national, multi-disciplinary practice consisting of senior professionals with extensive experience of planning for and delivering all aspects of large scale, residential-led sites. The company acts directly for numerous local authorities across the country providing advice, guidance and support on planning and delivery issues and therefore has a range of up-to-date and relevant experience and knowledge to draw on. The workshop will be delivered by a member of the Hyas team.
We will be posting details of the 2018-19 workshop programme on our website very shortly and it will then be possible to book on this particular course. But if you would like to reserve a place provisionally in the meantime please feel free to contact us on 01204 385678 or via firstname.lastname@example.org.
