An Introduction to Masterplanning
Inter-Authority Training

This interactive workshop is for those involved in development management, planning policy and all related development disciplines, who want to understand the masterplanning process for large, residential sites and how to create effective, quality led masterplans that will facilitate delivery. The key objectives of the workshop will be to enable participants to develop a broader understanding and appreciation of the overall masterplanning process and the level of spatial and delivery detail needed at each stage of the planning process. Participants will also explore techniques for producing, reviewing and implementing masterplans, spatial frameworks and development briefs – based on the examination of good practice case studies. Practical exercises will be used throughout to provide a hands-on and lively workshop that will encourage full participation.
